In this article I will show you how to create your LinkedIn account.
First please go to http://www.LinkedIn.com.
On this page you will see a signup form on the right hand side. This is the first of 5 simple steps needed to signup
to LinkedIn. You will notice four fields (as shown in the picture below):
Please enter the information requested, please remember the email you choose here will also serve as your username to login to LinkedIn. (don’t worry I will show you later) Also, keep in mind that you should use an email address you check often. LinkedIn send you important notifications to the address provided here! Don’t worry, LinkedIn doesn’t send SPAM or annoying emails. Trust me! Finally click the “Join Now” button.
In this next step you will enter your current job status. This portion is important because you can be discovered and found based on some of the information provided here. Be sure to answer all questions accurately and honestly. I am currently: Employed, A Business Owner, Looking For Work, Working Independently, A Student
If you chose “Employed” you will see:
Company
Job Title
Country
Zip Code
If you chose “Business Owner” you will see:
Company
Industry: Choose from drop down
Country
Zip Code
If you chose “Looking For Work” you will see:
Industry
Country
Zip Code
If you Chose “Working Independently” you will see:
Industry
Country
Zip Code
If you Chose “Student” you will see:
Education – Choose State – Choose School
Dates Attended To / From
Field Of Interest

No matter what the answer you chose to the first question, you must provide all information they request. When finished click “Continue”. The next step is to confirm the email sent to your email account and then continue with the next step. Click here to read the next step.
